MEET OUR
DIRECTORS
Meet the directors of Selah Counseling Services.
Our directors carry the heart and vision of Selah, providing leadership rooted in clinical expertise, wisdom, and discernment. With a deep commitment to healing and growth, they guide the practice with integrity, intentionality, and care.
This leadership shapes the culture, direction, and standard of excellence that defines Selah Counseling Services.
The McGibbons
At the heart of Selah Counseling Services are Derek and Alexis McGibbon, co-directors united by a shared calling to see people not only healed, but restored into who God created them to be. Their leadership is rooted in the belief that true transformation happens when individuals are supported in becoming whole—mind, body, and spirit—and equipped to walk in alignment with God’s design for their lives.
Alexis McGibbon is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Ordained Minister who has served adults, teens, and children since 2015. Her work is grounded in clinical excellence and guided by biblical truth, walking individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, and emotional pain with wisdom and discernment. Alexis believes that lasting transformation occurs when therapeutic skill and faith are integrated thoughtfully—allowing clients not only to heal, but to experience consistent, meaningful growth in their lives.
Derek McGibbon is a Professional Development Coach and Ordained Minister who works closely with men seeking growth in identity, relationships, leadership, and fatherhood. His approach emphasizes accountability, responsibility, character, and Christ-centered values—helping men develop the internal strength needed to lead well, live intentionally, and build a lasting legacy.
Together, Derek and Alexis provide balanced, intentional leadership that shapes the foundation of Selah Counseling Services. Their shared vision establishes Selah as a place where clinical excellence and spiritual formation are held with equal weight—where people are challenged to grow, supported with care, and equipped to take responsibility for their healing and development. Under their leadership, Selah exists not only as a counseling practice, but as a space for alignment, maturity, and long-term transformation.
