At the heart of Selah Counseling Services is Alexis McGibbon, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Ordained Minister with a passion for seeing people truly healed—mind, body, and spirit. Since 2015, Alexis has faithfully served children, teens, and adults across New Jersey, walking with them through the valleys of depression, anxiety, trauma, and emotional pain. Her approach combines the best of clinical excellence with the uncompromising truth of God’s Word, helping clients break free from cycles of fear, dysfunction, and despair so they can step into lives marked by peace, purpose, and freedom.

Selah Counseling was born out of a divine calling—a vision to offer Christ-centered, therapeutic support for those navigating life’s deepest struggles. Alexis leads with empathy, authenticity, and a deep conviction that healing is possible when faith meets professional care.

When Derek McGibbon entered Alexis’ life, he brought with him a powerful blend of wisdom, leadership, and spiritual authority. As a devoted husband, father, and minister, Derek brings strength to the Selah mission by mentoring and counseling men who are ready to grow. Whether navigating identity, relationships, or fatherhood, Derek helps men develop strong, Christ-centered value systems so they can lead their families with confidence and integrity.
