Ashley’s journey within the social work field has been personal and professional. After her child's birth, she faced a profound life shift— learning to let go of control and perfectionism and learning to accept the imperfections of life by trusting God. This experience deepened her passion for helping others through difficult life transitions, especially women. She’s come to see how crucial it is to place God at the center of mental and emotional well-being.
Ashley earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook in 2018. Since then, she has served individuals facing challenges like chronic mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness, anxiety, depression, and family tensions. Her therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and psychodynamic techniques, because she believes that life events shape our deepest beliefs—beliefs that often drive our thoughts and actions. By working through these core experiences, Ashley believes that healing and growth happen, allowing people to begin to see themselves the way God sees them.
At the heart of Ashley’s work is her faith in Jesus. Psalm 46:10, “Be still, and know that I am God,” is a constant reminder for her, both personally and professionally. She understands how hard it can be to find stillness in today’s fast-paced world, so her goal is to partner with her clients to quiet the noise of life and turn their focus towards God. She hopes to do this by validating their experiences and exploring biblical truths together. Ashley strives to foster a supportive environment where healing and transformation, through Jesus, can take place.
